The global cosmetics industry produces more than 120 billion units of packaging every year globally, most of which are non-recyclable. This is the ugly side of the beauty industry.

marocMaroc is working towards a more environmentally-friendly consumer experience by removing the outer plastic packaging from the retail boxes while maintaining the same luxurious look.

The rollout has started with our best-selling products, Detoxifying and Exfoliating Body Balm (Miel d'Ambre) and the Nourishing Rose Body Cream (Roses de Sucre). The new Cactea Range follows in October this year and then, by 2023 all of the marocMaroc retail products will be sold without a wrapper.

In recent years the brand has also increased the size of key spa professional products for treatments from 500ml to 900ml to help reduce plastic waste.

This is just the beginning of our journey as we continue to become more eco-responsible. As a brand, we understand that these positive steps in the right direction all help towards a healthier planet for us all.
