Dormy House Partners with VILASA. to Launch New Men’s Spa Treatments from Gentlemen’s Tonic

More men are going to spas than ever before, with new statistics indicating that 49% of spa customers are now men - a 20% increase from the 29% reported in 2005 (International Spa Association, 2019).

House Spa is incredibly popular with guests of Dormy House, including couples on a relaxing weekend break who are looking for rest and rejuvenation, and this new line of treatments offers an even more tailored approach to wellbeing. VILASA. is the exclusive distributor of Gentlemen’s Tonic in the UK and Ireland and has co-developed the treatments for the property.

About Gentlemen’s Tonic

Gentlemen’s Tonic is a luxury, restorative, award-winning concept dedicated exclusively to the needs of men, whose Advanced Derma Care range is one of the world’s first male-only cosmeceutical lines. Made entirely in the United Kingdom, the range is completely free from synthetic materials, harmful chemical additives and parabens, and incorporates only natural, plant-derived ingredients. Using only the best and most active ingredients these products have been developed based on a layering technique allowing them to penetrate into the lower levels of the dermis.

Research conducted by Gentlemen’s Tonic has shown by layering concentrated nutrients and vitamins in specific stages a man’s skin is able to absorb the serums and concentrate more effectively. In turn, this means that the skin is being targeted on all levels and is able to repair and replenish itself effectively working from the inside out.

The Treatments

House Spa at Dormy House is offering a gorgeous range of facial and body treatments to suit every individual need, developed to incorporate luxurious elements such as a pre-treatment foot cleanse to ground the guest, and a finishing touch of Gentlemen’s Tonic aftershave. Treatments include:

The Gentlemen’s Tonic Facial - 60 minutes, £85

A deep cleansing facial to balance natural oils, soothe irritation and prevent ingrowing hairs. A blend of serums enriched with nourishing antioxidants and vitamins will plump out fine lines. Ease away tense muscles in the face, neck and shoulders with a relaxing massage. The treatment ends with a mask to suit the skin and a finishing boost of hydration. The perfect tonic for all skin needs.

Advanced Anti-aging Facial - 90 minutes, £110

Turn back the hands of time with Gentlemen’s Tonic. Active anti-oxidants and concentrated vitamins combined with facial massage and a unique setting mask will lift the skin, target fine lines and wrinkles and leave the skin youthful and brighter.

Back On Track - 60 minutes, £85 (Dormy House Exclusive)

Deep cleanse and relax the muscles with warm compresses and an exfoliation to open pores and refresh the skin. This is followed by a mask application to this hard to reach area. Attention is then turned to the back of the legs to relieve tension, before completing the treatment with a back massage focusing on key areas of stress.

Gentlemen’s Tonic Treatment – 75 minutes, £100

For those seeking the ultimate relaxation experience, soothe away stress with a back massage focusing on key areas of tension. A deep cleansing facial then follows to balance the skin's natural oils, soothe irritation and prevent ingrowing hairs. The treatment ends with a deep facial massage to tone and firm the skin.

Editor’s Notes

The Farncombe Estate is a 400-acre area of woodland and fields in the heart of the Cotswolds overlooking the village of Broadway. Owned and run by the same Danish family for over 40 years, the estate began as a residential training school and headquarters for a global security company, before a multi-million-pound investment saw it transformed into a one-of-a-kind integrated estate comprised of three boutique hotels. Dormy House, Foxhill Manor and The Fish Hotel now represent three of the Cotswolds’ most popular hotels with multiple awards under their belt, artfully combing English rustic charm with traditional Danish ‘hygge’.
